South Hamilton – Anne Fay (Heenan) Walke, 72, wife of Peter W. Walke, died late Monday night  February 11, 2019  in the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading after a brief battle with cancer.  Born in Lowell on  May 11, 1946  she was the daughter of the late James M. and Anne F. (King) Heenan.

     Fay was a graduate of Hamilton/Wenham Regional High School, Class of 1963.  She and her husband Pete were married on May 3, 1969.  She was employed as an Administrative Assistant for 28 years at the former Caldwell Nursing Home in Ipswich.  Fay loved to vacation with her family and friends in Myrtle Beach, SC each year, North Ft. Myers, FL in the Winters and she especially loved renting the cottage in Little Neck every August. Fay had a passion for reading and lighthouses. She loved spending time with her family and friends.  Fay was the definition of a fun-loving person.

     Fay is survived by, in addition to her husband Peter of South Hamilton, her 2 children:  son C.J. Walke and his wife Korah Soll of Bar Harbor, ME, with their children Annabelle and Stella, daughter Jamie Lauranzano and her husband Anthony Lauranzano of Newburyport with their children Briggs and Libby.  She is also survived by her 5 sisters:  Judy Zilinsky and her husband Dick of Ipswich, Sherry Bennett also of Ipswich, Gail O’Brien and her husband Paul of Revere, Patty Williams and her husband Tom of South Hamilton and  Kim Bullis of Ipswich, as well as many nieces and nephews.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday  February 16th.  at  9:00 A.M.  at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church  54 Linebrook Road, Ipswich.  Burial will follow in the Hamilton Cemetery  623 Bay Road, Hamilton.  Visiting hours will be Friday  February 15th  from  4:00 to 8:00 P.M.  in the Morris Funeral Home  45 North Main Street, Ipswich, relatives and friends are respectfully invited.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Fay’s memory to: Melanoma Research Alliance  1101 New York Avenue, NW, Suite 620  Washington, DC  2005   www.curemelanoma.org .  To send a condolence to the Walke family please go to:  MorrisFH.com .
