Annmarie (Miller) Hughes, of Ipswich, passed away November 22, 2019, at the age of 76. She was the loving mother of four and grandmother of six.
Annmarie was born in Beverly on May 27, 1943, to Mary A. (Flaherty) and Joseph H. Miller. She and former husband William Hughes raised three daughters and one son in Lake Forest, IL, a suburb of Chicago. They returned to Ipswich later in life.
She loved crafting, reading, antiquing and charming anyone interested in “chit-chatting.” Her happy place was near the ocean, enjoying lobster and clams with her family. Annmarie will be remembered for her quick wit, strong-willed personality, and dedication to her special needs sister, Kathleen.
She is survived by her children Rebecca Sobolewski of Burlington, Todd Hughes and his wife Amy of Franklin, Vanessa Bridson and her husband Eric of Hanover, and Holly Hughes of Beverly. She leaves grandchildren Rachael, Audrey and Gabrielle Sobolewski; Jack Hughes; and Avery and Aria Bridson. Annmarie was predeceased by her father, Joseph, her mother, Mary, her siblings John J. and Kathleen Miller, and former husband, William Hughes.
