Blanche M. Rathe

– Blanche M. (Wilson) Rathe, 80, died Christmas morning December 25, 2017 in her home in Ipswich after a long illness. Born in Rowley on November 3, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Ralph E. and Blanche I. (Guimond) Wilson. She was predeceased by her husband Robert J. Rathe. Mrs. Rathe was a certified nurse’s aide at the Caldwell Nursing Home in Ipswich for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Rathe is survived by her 8 children: David Lord and his companion Joann Letrandre of Spencer, MA, Cindy Sheppard of Richmond, VA, Holly Lord-Paquin and her husband Mark of Raymond, NH, Brenda McCarron and her husband Tom of Jupiter, FL, Kevin Lord and his companion Lori DiCenzo of Londonderry, NH, Karen Montminy and her husband Gary of Haverhill, Donald Dunbar and his wife Ellen of Ipswich and Dawn Dunn also of Ipswich. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Mrs. Rathe leaves 1 brother Kenny Wilson and his wife Mary of Newburyport, 1 sister Claire Sheppard and her husband Lionel of Ipswich, and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by 6 brothers: Henry, Cabot (Tex), Craig, Lee, Bobby and Ralph Wilson and by 1 sister: Joan Bailey. Visiting hours will be Sunday January 7, 2018 from 12:30 to 2:30 P.M. in the Morris Funeral Home 45 North Main Street, Ipswich, A funeral service will be held at 2:30 P.M. in the funeral home following the visiting hours, relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
