Ipswich - Brenda Lee Clancy, 33, died unexpectedly at her home, from complications of diabetes, on Thursday, July 19, 2018. Born in Danvers, she was the daughter of Joseph Clancy and the late Elizabeth (Carpenter) Clancy.
Brenda was raised and educated in Ipswich. She was an avid Patriots fan, and enjoyed cheering on her favorite team with her family. Brenda loved spending time with her son, Shawn, watching movies and snuggling. Shawn was her world.
Brenda is survived by, in addition to her son Shawn, her father Joseph Clancy. She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses: Ann and Ken Monroe of Ipswich, Mike and Maria Clancy of Amesbury, Pam and Brad Amazeen of Ipswich, Joe and Amy Clancy of Gloucester, Kevin and Dodie Clancy or Haverhill. Her nieces and nephews: Steven and his wife Sabrina, Heather and her fiancé Drew, Andrew, Connor, Cassie, Joe, Allie, Bailey, Reagan ,Abbie, Adam, Alex, Molly, Elisia and Selena, and her great nephew and niece, Calen and Esme. Brenda is also survived by her grandmother Sandra Monroe, she was predeceased by her grandfather Kenneth Monroe. She also leaves her cat Lucy.
A private service will be held for Brenda at a later date, burial will be in the New Highland Cemetery, 29 Town Farm Road in Ipswich. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers please consider a contribution to her son Shawn’s educational scholarship fund. A scholarship fund is being established for Shawn, please make a contribution to: Ann Monroe, and in the memo state “Shawn scholarship”.
