Dorothy Russ Obituary

Dorothy A. (Tyniec) Russ, 70, wife of the late W. George Russ, passed away on Tuesday  September 18, 2018  at Beverly Hospital.  Born and raised in Ipswich she attended public schools and was a graduate of Ipswich High School, Class of 1966.

          After graduation she went on to Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School.  Dorothy would be employed at Houghton Mifflin Publishing Company in Boston where she met her husband George.  After taking a leave from work, she went to work for Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood and retired from there in 2012.  After retiring Dorothy came back home to Ipswich, the town she loved.

          Dorothy was the daughter of the late Frank and Sophie Tyniec formerly of Ipswich.  She leaves a sister Marianne Tyniec of Ipswich.

           A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday  September 22nd.  at  9:00 a.m.  at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church  54 Linebrook Road, Ipswich.   Burial will be in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery  29 Town Farm Road, Ipswich.  There will be no visiting hours.  In lieu of flowers please make a contribution in Dorothy’s name to:  St. Jude Children's Research Hospital  262 Danny Thomas Place  Memphis, TN  38105.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Morris Funeral Home of Ipswich.  To send a condolence please go to:  MorrisFH.com .
