Joseph J. Jaslowich, Jr., 72, died unexpectedly Sunday evening December 23, 2018 in the Beverly Hospital surrounded by his family and loved ones. Born in Ipswich on August 2, 1946 he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Mary E. (Hinckley) Jaslowich.
Joe was a long time employee of the former Soffron Brothers in Ipswich. He loved being on Pavilion Beach every single day of the summer in the sun, he was often called “Joe Beach”. He was very kind, thoughtful and helpful to both friends and strangers. The second most favorite spot on Joe’s list was the wharf where everyone knew him and he knew everyone. Joe enjoyed both his boat and outdoor camping in his younger years. He had a quiet personality but could be engagingly funny.
Joe is survived by his sister and her husband Mary and David Hardy of Rowley, his nephew and 2 nieces: Jonathan Hardy, Jacquelyn and her husband Benjamin Savage, Kristen and her husband Andrew Prescott. He is also survived by his great nephews and great nieces: Adriana and Hanna Hardy, Garrett, Carolyn and Elwood Savage, Wesley, Leyton and Colin Prescott, for whom they called him “Grampa Joe”, and by his long time friend Pat Adams.
A funeral service will be held Monday December 31st. at 1:00 P.M. in the Morris Funeral Home 45 North Main Street, Ipswich. Burial will follow in the New Highland Cemetery 29 Town Farm Road, Ipswich. Visiting hours will be Sunday December 30th. from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. in the funeral home, relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
