Karl R. Bernard passed away at his home on Friday August 30, 2019 with his family by his side at the age of 70.
Karl was born in Gloucester on December 11, 1948. He graduated from Rockport High School and went on to the United Shoe until he served in the Army during Vietnam War and received several medals. Most of his working career as an excavator operatorwas with Lynn Sand & Stone and R. B Strong.
He was predeceased by his parents Robert A. Bernard, Shirley P. (Seymour) and a daughter Tracy Wyatt. Karl was also predeceasd by both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Karl is survived by his son, Karl R. Bernard Jr. and wife Cathryn, his daughter Kaitlin and husband Alex Stachowiak, daughter Kelly Moses and fiancé Glen Wheeler, brother William Bernard and sister Cindy Hale and husband Ronald. Grandchildren Riley, Alison, Connor, Savanna and Tariq, great-grandson Benjamin as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family wants to thank Kelly Moses for everything she had done.
There will be a private family gathering. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
