Ipswich – Stefan Kawa, 83, husband of the late Anastasia (Kryca) Kawa, died Monday February 5, 2018 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a short illness. Born in Cudzynowicach, Poland on March 23, 1934 he was the son of the late Szczepan and Stefania (Piatek) Kawa. Mr. Kawa was a long-time resident of Ipswich. He was retired from Gloucester Engineering. He loved gardening and he loved his chicken wings from Zeno’s. Mostly he truly loved spending time with his great-granddaughter. Mr. Kawa was very involved with the raising of his 3 granddaughters. He was predeceased by his wife Anastasia on April 9, 2016. Mr. Kawa is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Bozena T. and Ed McFayden of Ipswich. He is also survived by his 3 granddaughters: Stefanie McFayden and her fiancé Nick Colby of Byfield, Melyssa McFayden and her fiancé Spencer Thomas of Ipswich, Shannon McFayden of Jupiter, FL and his great-granddaughter Harper Ann Thomas of Ipswich. A private funeral service will be held at a later date. There will be no visiting hours.
