Andrew "Andy" Kaszuba, Jr. Obituary

Andrew “Andy” Anthony Kaszuba, Jr., passed away peacefully at The Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, MA on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.  Born in Ipswich on July 11, 1940 he was the son of Andrew and Mary (Owsiak) Kaszuba of Ipswich.

In addition to his beloved wife and best friend of 56 years Elaine (Galanis), he is survived by his daughter, Alexandra “Alexa” Strauch and husband, Hans of Byfield, daughter, Dina Ward and fiancé Tyler Stavros of Ipswich and sister, Judith Fortin and husband Charley of Seabrook, NH.  Andy is also survived by his greatest pride and joy, his 4 grandchildren:  Phillip and Andrew Ward and Helena and Talia Strauch.  He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.  He was predeceased by his brother and business partner, Theodore “Teddy” Kaszuba.

Andy was a graduate of Beverly High School and attended the Beverly Trade School.  He enlisted in the Air Force and served his country from 1962-1966. After serving, Andy worked at Turner’s Tannery before starting his own landscaping business with his brother, Teddy.  They provided lawn and irrigation services for over 20+ years until an opportunity opened up and they started Agawam Fence Company in Rowley, MA which he owned and operated until his retirement in 2015.  Andy took pride in his work and would frequently quote Mark Twain: “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”

Andy was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed time outdoors fishing and hunting with his father and brother.  One of his greatest triumphs was when he, his brother and father harvested a 900 pound moose on a trip to Newfoundland, Canada.  In later years, Andy and Elaine would become snowbirds and travel to Florida to enjoy the warmer weather.  While in Florida, he would spend time with family and go fishing with the friends he made over the years, reading his favorite novels.

Andy took joy in life and in spending quality time with family and friends. He especially loved being around his grandkids.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff and nurses at The Bedford VA,  Care Dimensions and The Kaplan Family Hospice House for providing comfort and guidance during Andy’s last days.
