Ann B. (Hamilton) Donohoe, 84, wife of the late Gerald J. Donohoe, Sr., died Saturday afternoon November 9, 2019 in the Beverly Hospital after a short illness. Born in Providence, RI on April 16, 1935 she was the daughter of the late James P. and Beatrice (O’Donoghue) Hamilton.
Mrs. Donohoe was a graduate of Bayview Academy in Providence. She and her husband were long time residents of Reading until they moved to Ipswich in 1989. Mrs. Donohoe was employed at the Institution for Savings (formerly known as the Ipswich Co-operative Bank) for over 30 years. Mrs. Donohoe thoroughly enjoyed working at the bank and loved her bank family. She was an active member of the Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Ipswich Catholic Women’s Group. Mrs. Donohoe loved living on Little Neck amongst her great friends.
Mrs. Donohoe is survived by her 5 children: Gerald Donohoe, Jr., Maureen Giuliano and her husband Jerry, Sheila Adams, Leslie Harding and her husband Brian, Kelly Harney and her husband Stephen. She was also the mother of the late Andrew Donohoe and the late Derek Donohoe. Mrs. Donohoe is also survived by her 13 grandchildren: Zachary Donohoe, Nicole Connolly, Felicia Giuliano-Kennedy and Michael Giuliano, Brooke, Amanda and Quincy Adams, Andrew, Owen and Jack Harding, Connor, Nolan and Shane Harney, and her great-grandson Sal Connolly. She is survived by her sister Sheila Burke and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday November 15th. at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church 54 Linebrook Road, Ipswich. Burial will follow in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery 29 Town Farm Road, Ipswich. Visiting hours will be Thursday November 14th. from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. in the Morris Funeral Home 45 North Main Street, Ipswich, relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
