Anthony P. Duignan, 76 of South Hamilton, MA passed away on Saturday October 25, 2025 at his home with his beloved daughter by his side.
Anthony was born on September 9, 1949 in Killeshandra, County Cavan, Ireland, he was the son of the late James and Margaret (Doherty) Duignan.
Anthony graduated from the Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School in 1967. He then went on to serve in the United States Air Force until honorably discharged in 1972 as a Staff Sergeant.
Anthony worked in jet assembly at GE in Lynn, MA for 39 years. He was passionately involved with the A.P. Gardner Post# 194 in Hamilton for many years, serving as a Commander several times. He enjoyed traveling but more than anything cherished his special time with family at his home.
Anthony is survived by his daughter Jacqulyn Duignan and her husband Joseph Lees, son Michael Duignan and his wife Meagen, grandchildren: Maggie Lees, Harrison and Roxa Duignan. He is also survived by his siblings: Bridget Cassidy of CT, Mary McDonald of CT, James (J.J.) Duignan of FL, John (Sean) Duignan of MA, Margaret Edwards of CT and Gerard Duignan of MA. Also he leaves a multitude of nieces and nephews; his ex-wife Lynne Gallagher of FL, his long time partner Mary O’Neil of MA and loving friends, young and old who were always considered family to him.
A funeral service will be held Thursday October 30, 2025 at 12 noon in the Morris Funeral Home 45 North Main Street, Ipswich. Burial to follow with military honors in the Hamilton Cemetery 623 Bay Road, Hamilton. Visiting hours will be in the funeral home Thursday October 30th from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service, relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
