Audrey Ann Francis passed away peacefully in the early Tuesday morning May 21, 2024 after spending days with her loved ones. She has been reunited with her beloved husband Edward Francis, parents Thomas and Anne Boutchie, brother Maynard Boutchie, and son Wayne Gibbs. Audrey is survived by her two daughters Carole Robbins and Lisa Francis, along with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Audrey was loved by many for the light that she brought into their lives, as the friends of her children who she “adopted” into the Francis family could attest. She spread that light through her presence at the Ipswich Dinner Bell and as a member of the congregation and choir of Our Lady of Hope.
She not only touched the people in her life, but also the animals. A lifelong animal lover, who used to sneak down to the farm behind her house in Essex as a child, Audrey spoiled rotten every dog and cat she encountered and was enamored by her own two cats.
Audrey will be missed terribly by her family, friends, and pets. She will be remembered fondly through her time spent down Pavillion Beach, camping with her family, and as the life of any party.
Services will be held at Our Lady of Hope Church 54 Linebrook Road, Ipswich at 10 am on Saturday June 1, 2024 with an hour of visitation with Audrey’s family beginning at 9 am. . In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the MSPCA at Northeast Animal Shelter 347 Highland Avenue Salem, MA 01970. Assisting the Francis family is the Morris Funeral Home of Ipswich.
