Beatrice Carol Smith, 78, of Rowley, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on July 27, 2021 surrounded by her children and husband. Beatrice was born on November 6th, 1942 in East Boston, MA to the late Michael and Vinze Pergola.
Beatrice eventually moved to Lynn, MA and then to Rowley, MA where she worked and raised her family for years. Beatrice was involved in her community throughout her life, whether it be helping out the local Girl Scout troop or working in the cafeteria of Pine Grove elementary school. As a self-taught baker, cook, artist, and crafter, Beatrice had several treasured hobbies such as cake decorating, embroidery, doodling portraits, and making meals for her loved ones to enjoy. She also dabbled in dancing, often with her children. Beatrice loved to watch wildlife documentaries and jot down recipes from cooking shows, and she loved listening to a
diverse array of music. Above all, she loved to spend time with her pets and be home with her family
Beatrice is survived by her husband, Albert J. Smith, of Rowley, MA, her brother and his wife, Michael and Barbara Pergola of Salem MA, and her half-sister, Wendy Adams of Windham, ME. She is also survived by her
three loving and dedicated children, Deborah Smith of Rowley, MA, Stephanie Ricciardelli and husband Micheal Ricciardelli of Saugus, MA, and Joseph Smith and wife Sandi Smith of Rowley, MA, and her grandchildren, Eryca Carrier and Logan Smith.
Private graveside services for immediate family were held on Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Rowley Burial Ground, 133 Main Street, Rowley MA. Assisting the Smith family was the Morris Funeral Home of Ipswich.
