We’re deeply saddened to announce the passing of our mother, Beverly A. Thomas on July 28th, 2025 at home in Ipswich, Massachusetts.
A beloved wife to R Barry Thomas (deceased December 2015) and mother to Bryan ( Las Vegas) , Jeffrey ( Colorado) , Keleigh (Calnan, Ipswich ) and Judith (Wideberg, Sarasota) and grandmother to Adam, Samantha, Andrew, Abigail, Justin and Hanna.
Additionally, she leaves behind her beloved sons in law Bruce Wideberg (Sarasota) and Kevin Calnan ( Ipswich) and her daughter in law Suzanne Caywood (Las Vegas)
Bev touched many lives through her years, from her early days in Lynn, MA to retirement in Sarasota, FL
Our memories include her infectious love of family, friends and of course her music with many shared moments in song, gathered around her piano. Memories that will forever remain in our hearts and our ears.
Beverly and Barry began their family journey in Rhode Island before moving back “home “ to Massachusetts (Topsfield) where they raised the family for over twenty years.
After retiring to Sarasota, Florida, Bev embraced the new chapter meeting new friends while embracing family on regular visits to the sunshine.
Shortly after Barry’s passing , Bev relocated to Ipswich re- connecting with life long friends as well as family.
She will be dearly missed by us and those who knew her….
“I’ve lived a life that’s full
I‘ve traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way….”
At Bev’s request , she will be laid to rest alongside Barry, in a private ceremony in Sarasota National Cemetery.
