Brenda Jane Sinclair, 71, of Ipswich, passed away on Monday June 24, 2024. She was the wife of Robert Sinclair Jr. They met right afterhigh school and were married for 50years. Brenda was born on September 7th, 1952, to Harland Savage Sr. and Doris (Murphy) Savage of Rowley. After graduating from Newburyport High School, Brenda was involved in a tragic motorcycle accident. Brenda did not let her injuries, which followed her through her life, stop her from raising two children, Jason Sinclair, husband of Dani Sinclair, and Jennifer Murphy, wife of Jamie Murphy. She was a loving, caring, and dedicated mother and wife. Despite her injury, she always attended her children's sporting events, took them skiing, and ensured they had activities to attend. Brenda also had 4 grandchildren, Nathan and Blakely Sinclair, Sam, and Ella Murphy. Her grandchildren were loved by their Nana, and they adored her. Brenda was always keeping tabs on all her children. Brenda also had a great-granddaughter, Alena, who enjoyed playing with the toys at Nana’s house. Brenda was predeceased by her brother, Harland Savage Jr of Rowley. Brenda will be missed by her loving sister, Bonnie Conaway, her husband, Brian of Burke VA, and her multiple nieces and nephews, whom she frequently checked in on.
Brenda and Robert loved spending time with their children on their boat, at the beach, and snowmobiling in the winter. When Robert had to perform his yearly duties for the National Guard, Brenda would fill the void by driving her children to Seabrook Beach and many other adventures. Brenda spent her entire life working at her family's business, Savage Seafood, even dragging her children there during the summer months to help. Both Robert and Brenda are and were active in the Lions Club. While Brenda was not a member, she was always traveling with her husband and helping with events. They traveled to South Korea for a Lions Club convention. She enjoyed volunteering to help others. Brenda was selfless, always thinking of others first. When her brother, Harland, was diagnosed with leukemia, Brenda was the first to step up and donate her bone marrow to help him. She spent countless hours driving into Boston to be with him. She will be missed tremendously but we know she is happy, dancing away to Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock n Roll”. We love you Brenda, Mom, Nana.
