Carmela Janet Di Sciullo passed away peacefully on April 15, 2020.
Carmela was born in Boston, MA, and was the daughter of Zalmira Maiocco and Domenico Di Sciullo. She graduated from Girl’s High School in Boston and went on to attend Bryant and Stratton evening classes for a degree in Shorthand & Business.Carmela was employed as Systems Analyst for John Hancock Insurance Company in Boston, for 40 years before retiring. Past Member and Past President of Chatterbox Club of Boston for many years, Member of John Hancock Annual Meeting and Dinner for Retirees, was one of the Trustees for many years of the Greenleaf Street Condo in Quincy, also a Member of St. Agatha’s Church in Milton.
She was an avid reader and loved to travel especially to Europe, many times.
She is survived by her Loving Sister Angela Goguen and her husband Philip of Ipswich, Devoted Aunt of Susan and Tom Wilcox of Georgetown, Angela and Peter Vallero of Boulder, CO, James and Janis Goguen of Ipswich, and Carmela and Ray Fratus of Shirley. Loving Great-Aunt to Kirsten Wilcox, Joshua Secher and his fiancé Breanna Padilla, Justin Goguen, and Matthew Wilcox. Also survived by many close cousins in the Boston area.
In accordance with guidelines and restrictions on gatherings due to COVID-19, all services will be held for the immediate family only in private. A memorial Service will be held at a later date.
