Carole A. (Fitz) Griffin

Carole A Griffin, 83, passed away April 28, 2025 surrounded by her children.  Daughter of the late Orill and Alice (Hurley) Fitz, Carole was born in Boston on March 23, 1942. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, William F Griffin, and her brothers Robert and George Fitz. 

     Carole was a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth where she left a lasting impact on countless patients and formed lifelong friendships with her coworkers.  Carole loved vacations to Hawaii, wintering in Pompano Beach, FL and maintaining her gardens at her home in Plymouth where she greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  Carole was known for her devotion to her family, long lasting friendships, and adventurous spirit. 

     She is survived by her three children: Kimberly Griffin-Bosworth and her husband Sean Bosworth of Quincy; William F. Griffin Jr. and his wife Kathy Aparo-Griffin of DeLand, FL; and Steve Griffin and his wife Raquel Griffin of Franklin. She is also survived by her grandchildren: William III and his wife Kelli, Isabella, Ella, and Sam, and great-grandchildren, Levi and Naomi, as well as her sister Grace Sullivan of Ipswich, and her loving partner Bob Corso of Milton, NY.  

      A  funeral service will be Wednesday May 14 at  11:00 A.M.  in the Morris Funeral Home, 45 North Main St., Ipswich.  An hour of visitation will be Wednesday  May 14  from  10:00 A.M. until the hour of the funeral.   Immediately following the funeral will be the burial in the New Highland Cemetery 29 Town Farm Rd, Ipswich.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Mrs. Griffin’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital  262 Danny Thomas Place  Memphis, TN  38105.  To send a letter of condolence to Carole’s family please go to:  MorrisFH.com .
