Charles H. Roberts, Sr.

Charles H. Roberts, Sr., 80, husband of Carol D. (Ferguson) Roberts,died Friday evening  July 17, 2020  at his home surrounded by loving family after a short illness.  Born in Gloucester on  January 31, 1940  he was the son of the late  Homer E. and Eunice L. (Morris) Roberts. 

     Mr. Roberts was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the Army, he was stationed in Korea.  Charles and his wife were married for 57 years. Charles was a fan of NASCAR, he loved dancing and shuffleboard.  He was well loved by everybody, he enjoyed making people laugh.  He had a heart of gold.

     In addition to his wife Carol of Ipswich, Charles is survived by 2 children:  daughter Laurie Aiello of Gloucester and son Charles Roberts, Jr. of Barrington, NH, his daughter-in-law  Michelle Roberts of  Barrington, NH.  He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters:  Gladys Marr and Nancy Courage, both of Ipswich.  Charles was predeceased by his daughter  Debbie Lee Crockett formerly of ME and a brother  Norman “Grom” Roberts formerly of Gloucester.
