Christine (Markos) Malenfant

Mrs. Christine (Markos) Malenfant, 89, of Ipswich, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 29, 2021 with her loving family by her side.
Born in Ipswich, lovingly called Tina, she was the daughter of the late Athanasios and Vasiliki (Perdikis)Markos. Raised and educated in Ipswich, Tina graduated from Ipswich High School.She was also a graduate of Fisher Junior College.

She was a life-long member of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, Ipswich,  MA. Tina was also a member of the Loganiko Society. She was a loving aunt and godmother.She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Tina  was predeceased by her husband, Arthur J. Malenfant.  She was also predeceased by her siblings, her five brothers, John , George, Nicholas, Stephen (Tommy), and Daniel, as well as her four sisters, Patricia Tolios, Anna Sarantakos, Florence Perrone, and Helen Drenth.

She will be missed by her two goddaughters, Kathryn V. Tolios and Maria Makris, her two step-children, Stephen Malenfant and Betsy Malenfant, her cousin and best friend Eleanor Makris and many nieces and nephews, their spouses and children.

The family would like to thank Renee, Shawna and Heather from Harborside Hospice for their loving care.  Also, the family would like to thank the staff at Port Healthcare in Newburyport for their constant care and support.

A funeral service will be held Saturday  June 5th.  at  11:00 A.M. in the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church  8 Lafayette Road, Ipswich.  Burial will follow in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery  29 Town Farm Road, Ipswich.  Visiting hours will be Friday  June 4th.  from  6:00 to 8:00 P.M.  in the Morris Funeral Home  45 North Main Street, Ipswich.  All are invited to both the funeral and the visiting hours, those in attendance are asked to follow appropriate health guidelines.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Tina’s name to:  the Greek Orthodox Church of Ipswich  P.O.
