David N. Goding, Jr.

David N. Goding Jr, aged 88, passed away peacefully at home on May 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 18, 1938, in Lynn, Massachusetts, David's life was a testament to family, love, and hard work.

David is predeceased by his devoted and loving wife Monique P Goding.

He spent his career as a machinist at the General Electric in Lynn, Massachusetts, enjoyed being in his garden, watching his favorite Boston sports teams but most of all traveling to France with Monique and being with her family.

David was quick witted and always knew how to make everyone laugh, had stories that would go on forever.  He was outgoing and personable and could “talk the arms off of chairs”.  His kindness especially touched everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his 8 children, Beatrice Goding, Christophe Goding, Gladys Goding, Veronique Dinan and partner Roger Milliken, Jennifer Kneeland and husband Roy, Francoise Maguire and husband Sean, Jean Paul Goding and partner Brooke Myers, Melanie Trevino and husband Raymond. 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

In keeping with David’s wishes, a private graveside service with military honors will be held with burial at the New Linebrook Cemetery, Ipswich.

He will forever live in our hearts.
