IPSWICH – David “Hoss” Lavoie, 55 died Tuesday, February 06, 2018 at Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers, after a long illness.
Born on, May 13, 1962, he was the son of Robert J. (“Meme”) Lavoie and the late Sandra A. (Nadeau) Lavoie and grandson of the late J. Samuel & Mary (Gallant) Lavoie and the late Gaston J.& Arlean (Currier) Nadeau. David was educated at St. Stanislaus Elementary School in Ipswich, Whittier Tech. in Haverhill, MA and graduated from North Country Union High in Newport, VT. For many years he worked as a truck driver for local construction companies.David enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and his remote control cars and airplanes.
In addition to his father, Robert “Meme” of Ipswich, David is survived by his companion Theresa Gentleman, also of Ipswich and brother Lance and his wife Nicole Lavoie and their daughter Quinn of Belmont, MA, his Aunts Elaine Gauthier, Kathleen Lavoie both of Ipswich and Anne Salter of Hamstead, NH, Uncle Roland Lavoie of Wilbraham, MA, Aunt Mona Elliott and her son Eric Elliott both of Ipswich, Uncle Stanley and his wife Tina Nadeau of Milton, NH and his daughter Samantha Dermody and many, many cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday February 17th. at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church 54 Linebrook Road, Ipswich. Burial will follow in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery 29 Town Farm Road, Ipswich. Visiting hours will be Friday February 16th. from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Morris Funeral Home 45 North Main Street, Ipswich, relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
