David "Bucket" Steen

Ipswich – David “Bucket” Steen, 91, died Monday  September 19, 2022  in the Beverly Hospital after a short illness.  Born in Ipswich on  May 24, 1931  he was the son of Wilbur and Alma (Manzer) Steen.

     David was formerly employed at Goodale Orchards in Ipswich,  the Essex Cab Company and for several years at Soffron Brothers in Ipswich until his retirement. 

     David is survived by his siblings:  Bill, Jim, Mary Ring, Bob, Linda Savory, Barbara Costa and Janet Theriault.  He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews.  David was very close to his niece and nephew  Rick and Shelley Dorr and his caregivers of over a decade, Puddy and Brandy.  He was predeceased by 5 sisters:  Pat Tougas, Peggy Gauthier, Alma “Cissy”, Betty Razza and Joanne Ishmael.

     A graveside service will be held Saturday   September 24th.  at  11:00 A.M.  in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery  29 Town Farm Road, Ipswich, relatives and friends are respectfully invited.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation in David’s name to:  the American Diabetes Association of MA  320 Congress Street  # 501
