Dianne E. "Dede" Souza

Dianne Elizabeth Souza, “Dede”, died Monday  September 20, 2021 at the age of 56, after a short battle with Cancer. 

Dede was born June 09, 1965 in Ipswich at Cable Hospital. She left Ipswich for a brief period  but it always drew her back. She was a true townie.

Dede had many jobs throughout her life and they always involved in taking care of people. She was always a shoulder to cry on, a friend to listen, or a helping hand. She never met a stranger. She took care of everyone else before even thinking of herself, even in the end.

Dede was a proud, loving mother to her children; Steven, Katrina, and Paul and found a new purpose as “Grammy” to Logan and Leo.

Dede was loved and will be remembered by her many friends and family including: Daughter Katrina Shamshak; Son Paul Ewing; Mother Margaret Souza; her sisters: Yvonne Migneault & Ruthanne Souza; her niece Courtney Roche; Nephews Alex Roche & Luke Souza; grandsons Logan and Leo Shamshak, and her loving cat Finn. She is predeceased by her son Steven and father Frederick.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dede’s angels: Tammy Wilson, Karen Mcintyre, and Charlene Wynaught & to her nurses from Hospice; Jackie & Cathy.

Arrangements: A wake will take place Friday October 8, 2021 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the Morris Funeral Home 45 N Main St Ipswich, relatives and friends are respectfully invited.  For those who attend the visiting hours facial coverings are required if you are not fully vaccinated.   A graveside service will be held Saturday October 9, 2021 at 11:00 am at The New Highland Cemetery 29 Town Farm Road, Ipswich with a reception after at the VFW in Ipswich.
