– Doris Mae Mazola, 79, of Ipswich, MA, passed peacefully on March 4th., 2021. She was born to parents Helen Doherty and Robert Callahan, on 12/07/1941 in Malden, MA. She was raised and educate in Somerville, MA.
Doris loved Somerville where she worked at Schrafft’s Candy Company and many other local businesses before retiring to spend time with her family. Doris had a warm smile, great sense of humor and quick wit making her friends with all she met. She loved sharing colorful stories of her life and escapades in Somerville. She had many good friends and was always willing to do anything for everyone. She loved spending her later years in Ipswich surrounded by family and her friends in the senior community. She loved her family fiercely and lived to spend time with them. The love she gave was returned many times over and she will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her 3 children – Thomas P. Dunne Jr. of Lewiston, ME, Christine MacLean and her husband Scott MacLean of Ipswich, and David Dunne of Reading, MA. Grandchildren : Rachel Mae Belanger and her husband Ryan of Boston and Ryan Thomas Silva and his fiance Naomi Krason of Revere. Great Grandchildren : Chance Ryan Belanger, Brooklyn Rae MacLean, Scarlett Rose MacLean, and predeceased by Bella Mae Belanger.
She also leaves behind ex-husband Ernest J. Mazola of Lynn, sister-in-law Gloria Bossi of Marshfield and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by Thomas P. Dunne of Revere and sisters Roberta Macarelli of Lynn and Alice DeBenedictis of Billerica.
There will be no public service at this time.
