Edward J. “Eddie” Sikora, Jr., 70, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was a loving husband, dad, grampy, brother, brother-in-law and friend.
He was born on February 10, 1951 and was raised and educated in Ipswich where he remained for his lifetime. He loved his houseboat and pleasure boats and spent many years at Plum Island with his family and friends. He graduated from Ipswich High School and Benjamin Franklin Institute. He had a long career operating heavy equipment. He was a hardworking, very talented man with a heart of gold. He will surely be missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joanne, his daughter and son-in-law Kristen and Tom Desmond, son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Michaela Sikora, granddaughters, Olivia and Taryn Desmond, his sister, Jane Sikora and his loving and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Florence (Mucha) Sikora.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM on Monday, August 23, 2021 in Our Lady of Hope Catholic Parish, 54 Linebrook Rd, Ipswich. Burial is private. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Sunday, August 22, 2021 in Morris Funeral Home, 45 N. Main St., Ipswich. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eddie’s name to Beth Israel Lahey Health with Edward Sikora in the memo line.
