Gerald L. McMahon

Gerald L. McMahon of Ipswich passed away peacefully on Sunday May 25, 2025 after a long illness.

Born in 1939 in Malden, MA. to Marion and Thomas McMahon, Jerry was raised in Medford and Winchester, spending every summer with his family on Great Neck in Ipswich.

An accountant with a number of business interests, Jerry was a graduate of Bentley University and spent a good part of his career as CFO of Datacube in Danvers, MA.

He was predeceased by his brothers Tom and Bob McMahon, sister-in-law Lois McMahon and brothers-in-law Ralph Compagnone and Bill Stanley. Jerry leaves Joanne, his loyal wife of 58 years, three devoted sons, Tom (Erika) and Jon of Maryland, and Bryn (Lindsay) of Ipswich, as well as three cherished grandchildren Quinlan, Maygan and Ellery of Maryland. He is also survived by his sisters Marian Stanley of Concord MA. and Jane Compagnone of Mount Lebanon PA., his sister-in-law Sandra McMahon of Saugus MA., his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jon and Janet Gregory of Fort Mill SC., as well as many well-loved nephews, nieces and dear friends, including the Spinney, Eldridge and Hewitt families.

Jerry was a dual citizen of the US and Ireland. A kind, generous man and good company, he will be missed.
