Irene S. (Pavenski) Pappas

Irene S. (Pavenski) Pappas, 89, of Rowley died Wednesday morning April 15, 2020  at home surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness.

     She was the devoted wife of the late James Pappas of Ipswich and loving mother to the late James J. Pappas, Jr. and Arnold Pappas.

     Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Anastasia (Gaiko) Pavenski.

     She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, Class of 1948.

     Irene was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking for her family as well as knitting and loved spending time doing crossword puzzels.

     She is survived by her children :  Sharon Pappas, Leonard Pappas and his wife Maureen, Constance Dillon, Donald Pappas and John Pappas.  She is also survived by her grandchildren :   Christopher Pappas, Althea Tower and her husband Jason, and her great-grandchildren :  GraceLynn Tower and Leo Tower.  Irene was also predeceased by her son-in-law  Robert Dillon.
