Janet “Cappy” Murawski, 89, of Ipswich, MA passed and made her transition at Beverly Hospital on Wednesday November 16, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Edmund P. and Adele (Gallant) Gillis and was born in Ipswich on June 12, 1933. She was a life long resident of Ipswich.
Cappy was an original member of the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Ipswich, a member of the Ipswich Catholic Womens Club as well as an active member of the Ipswich Council on Aging. She was a member of the Altria Catholic organization and she participated in the Ipswich Legally Blind Group. She loved singing, praying, cooking and being with her “adopted grandchildren”. Cappy was featured in over fifteen YouTube videos along with Captain Ricks Adventures as the infamous “Crumb Lady”. She was responsible for leading many prayer sessions at her home with all of her Jesus friends for the past fifty years.
Cappy leaves behind her eldest son Richard M. Murawski of Ipswich, her son Ronald P. Murawski of Boston, her daughter Teresa A. Murawski of Newbury and her daughter Mary Beth Hoku of Longboat Key, FL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday November 29th. at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church 54 Linebrook Road, Ipswich. Visiting hours will be Monday November 28th. from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. in the Morris Funeral Home 45 North Main Street, Ipswich, relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
