It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jennifer Elizabeth (Wysocki) O’Neil who passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on October 29, 2023.
Jennifer is survived by her husband James O’Neil of Gloucester. Her father Richard Wysocki and mother Patricia (Pascucci) Wysocki of Ipswich. Her grandmother Jennie Wysocki of Ipswich. Her sister Courtney (Wysocki) Meehan and her husband Jonathan Meehan of Scituate. Her Father and Mother-in-Law John O’Neil and Lesley O’Neil of Gloucester. Her sister in-law Marley O’Neil and her partner of Lowell. And last but not least, her beloved pets, Ollie and Neko.
Jennifer was born on March 7, 1989 in Danvers, Massachusetts and spent her childhood and adolescence in Ipswich. Jennifer attended Ipswich High School where she graduated in 2007. She went on to excel as a student at the University of New Hampshire where she graduated with her Masters Degree in Education in 2012.
She became a teacher, beloved by her students, before trying her hand at entrepreneurship opening a storefront, Reclaimed Commodities, in Gloucester, MA. Jennifer had a passion and a talent for crafting and woodworking and she excelled at anything she set her mind to. Her enthusiasm for adventure and travel was evident in her free spirit, zest for life, and broad worldview.
To know Jennifer was to love her. She embodied the meaning of true friendship, compassion and kindness. Jennifer will forever be deeply missed by her husband, family, and everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her.
A funeral service to celebrate Jennifer’s life will be held on Friday, November 10th at 10am at Our Lady of Hope Church 54 Linebrook Road, Ipswich. The family will have a private burial at a later date. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ipswich Animal Shelter at 17 Fowlers Lane, Ipswich MA 01938 in Jennifer’s name.
