Joan Gavrilles

Joan Gavrilles, formerly of Ipswich passed away on  May 8, 2020  at Brentwood Nursing Home in Danvers.  Born on  April 20, 1926  in Boston, MA, Joan is survived by her son William Papageorge and his wife Cindy of Hampstead, NH and her daughter Joan Vontzalides and her husband Nicholas of Ipswich.  She also leaves behind her grandson Will Papageorge of Arizona, her granddaughter Nicole Moses of Boxford, MA and two great-grandchildren  Mateo Geringer and Emily Geringer of Boxford, MA.  She is also survived by nephews and cousins.

Joan graduated from Jeremiiah Burke High School.  She loved to dance and to travel.  She was a member of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, Ipswich and was a former member of the Melissa Society.

A private graveside service was held May 14, 2020.
