Joan Regina Livas, beloved wife of the late Frank J. Livas, Jr., passed away peacefully on May 13, 2022. Born in Lynn, MA on July 5, 1934 Joan was the daughter of the late F. Paul and Eufemia (Sano) DeSantis of Beverly.
Joan was raised in Lynn and Beverly and graduated from Beverly High School and Salem State College. She loved gardening, cooking, antiquing, and sewing. Her happiest days were when she was surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren, and even happier if you sat down at her table to eat something delicious she had made. Joan taught drapery and slipcover classes at Essex Agricultural School, quilting at Cranberry Quilters, and became a realtor in the 70’s.
Joan is survived by her daughter, Susan Mercurio and husband Joe. Son Frank Livas and fiance, Carol Molina. Four grandchildren: Peter Livas, Kris Routzong, Noelle Albert and Joseph Mercurio and two great grandchildren: Brady Livas and Theodora Albert. She was predeceased by her sister Gina Harris of Vestal, NY
