Joseph Dupray, Jr. Obituary

Joseph “Bill” Dupray, Jr., husband of Valerie Trocki Dupray, passed away on  February 21, 2021  in Florida due to complications from the corona virus.  Bill was the son of the late Joseph Dupray, Sr. and Mary Lynch Dupray.

Bill was born in Beverly on  September 29, 1941.  He grew up in Ipswich along with his parents and siblings on High Street.  He was a 1959 graduate of Ipswich High School and played football and hockey.  After graduation he worked at MacMillans and left there to work for Bostik in Middleton.  He worked there for 31 years and retired as a Tech Service Manager where he got to travel all over the country.  He also was the first graduation class at Northern Essex in Bradford.  He loved his retirement and he and his wife spent many months in their condo in Naples, Florida.  There he enjoyed golfing with his friends.

Bill loved the outdoors, boating with his family and camping.  After dinner on Thanksgiving day,  he would leave for the weekend to go hunting with his brothers, brother-in-law and friends to Vermont.

He enjoyed being with his children and kept them busy with sports.  He loved coaching his boys in hockey from the Mites to the Bantams, and he was sad to give that up.  He coached  his daughter’s softball team and took her to karate lessons.  He was the best DAD..

He loved all his grandchildren dearly.  He enjoyed watching them play sports.  They were all very special to the man they called PAPA.

He spoiled his wife as well always bringing her coffee in bed each morning.

He got to do one of his bucket list items, he got to sky dive with his son Craig, he loved it.  His grandchildren were all starting to play sports and he was looking forward to watching them all:  baseball, hockey and softball.  He was also looking forward to seeing his grandson Sam in his uniform who is a Marine.

Besides his wife Valerie, Bill is survived by his 3 children:  Michael Dupray and his companion Melissa Bond, Craig Dupray and his fiancée Sarah Matusiak, Christine Dupray James and her former husband  Paul James.  His grandchildren that he adored and loved so much:  Cam James, Sam Dupray, Lexi James, Colin Dupray, Tyler Stanton and AJay Stanton.  He is also survived by his sister  Dottie Dupray Greenleaf and her husband Donnie, sister-in-law  Martha Dupray and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Besides being predeceased by his parents, he was also predeceased by his 2 brothers:  Lennie Dupray and  Bobby Dupray, and his special angel, Colby Dupray, his grandson whom he cherished.
