Kathryn E. (Player) Kellie

IPSWICH- Kathryn E. (Player) Kellie, 98, passed away on October 18, 2020 in Beverly Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Franklin S. Kellie with whom she spent 66 years of marriage.

Born in Ipswich on March 1, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Eva (Surette) Player. Kathryn was a lifelong resident of Ipswich, which she referred to as “God’s Country”.  Kathryn was a dedicated mother and her sons were her pride and joy.  She also enjoyed working at the former Hills Store in Ipswich for many years.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Suzanne Kellie of Marstons Mills and two grandchildren, Jennifer Simmons of Barnstable and Kevin Kellie of Plainville and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her son, Scott and her thirteen siblings.
