Maria Farfaras Obituary

Maria Farfaras of Dover, NH, formerly of Ipswich, MA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on August 3, 2026 after a courageous battle with an illness. She was the beloved daughter of the late Charles Chris and Christine (Stathopoulos) Farfaras. She is survived by her sister Beth Johnson and brother-in-law, John Johnson, of Hampton, NH, and brother, Chris Farfaras and sister-in-law, Ewa Farfaras, of Santa Rosa Valley, CA. She shared an especially close bond with her niece, Stephanie Johnson, who lovingly knew her as “Nouna.” She was also a devoted Auntie to Tyler Johnson, John Johnson, Charlie Farfaras, Alexandra Farfaras, all of whom held a very special place in her heart.

She had one of the kindest hearts imaginable and lived a fiercely independent life with remarkable strength, resilience, and grace. She found joy in antiquing, weekend drives with her mother and family, tending to her garden, and walking along the beach. She treasured time spent with her family and especially loved talking with her nieces and nephews, whom she affectionately called, “Her Kids.”

Maria will always be remembered for her gracious heart, infinite kindness, compassion, and generosity. Her life touched so many other lives, and she will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone who was fortunate to know her. The love she shared will remain with us forever. Maria lived a wonderful life, and she will be deeply missed.
