Mariya Petrovna Davis passed away after a long illness on Friday September 20, 2024. She was born on November 3, 1973 in the Ukraine.
Mariya is survived by her beloved husband Scott Michael Davis. She is also survived by her beloved mother Evdokiya (Babayan) Kotsoflyak and her beloved brother, Ivan Kotsoflyak, both of the Odessa Region in the Ukraine. She was predeceased by her father Peter Kotsoflyak, also formerly of the Odessa Region in the Ukraine.
Mariya was the first of her family to attend college, graduating from Kahul Medical College in Moldova with a nursing degree in 1994. She emigrated to the US and became a US citizen in 2007. Mariya spoke 5 languages: Russian, Ukranian, Moldovan, Romanian and English. She worked at the Lahey Clinic at Winchester Hospital as a Clinical Associate helping Covid patients, she was unscathed throughout the height of the pandemic.
She loved fashion, healthy living and travel. She visited: Crimea, Paris, Versailles, St. Lucia, Costa Rica, Florida, Arizona, Yellowstone Park and Hawaii twice. She frequented Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.
Mariya is also survived by her mother-in-law Thelma, her sister-in-law Wendy and her husband Michael, and her many friends.
An evening service will be held Sunday September 22nd. at 6:00 P.M. at The Orthodox Church of Saint John the Russian 16 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Ipswich. Her funeral service will be Monday September 23rd. at 6:00 P.M. at St. John’s Church. Burial will be at a later date in the Lindenwood Cemetery Montvale Avenue in Stoneham.
