Martha A. (Patterson) Thibodeau, 80, wife of the late Paul L. Thibodeau, died Tuesday evening  October 11, 2022  in the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen after a short illness.  Born in Ipswich on  February 22, 1942  she was the daughter of the late Millard and Gertrude (Perkins) Patterson.

     Martha was a business owner of Tops and Bottoms clothing store in Groveland with her husband Paul until his death.  She continued to run the business alone as a seamstress, she was well known and was well liked by the community.  She was predeceased by her husband Paul on  March 7, 1991.

     Martha is survived by her 2 children and their spouses:  Ann and Nathaniel Guy, Scott and Stacey Thibodeau, 9 grandchildren:  Sean Thibodeau, Erin Thibodeau, Emily Guy, Jaheim Guy, Nathaniel Guy, Natashka Guy, Grace Michel, PJ Michel and Daniel Cash.  She is also survived by her 3 great-grandchildren:  Ezra Guy, Chase Cash and Mason Cash.

     A graveside service will be held Monday  October 17th.  at  11:00 A.M.  in the New Highland Cemetery  29 Town Farm Road, Ipswich.  A hour of visitation will be held Monday  October 17th.  from   9:30 to 10:30 A.M.  in the Morris Funeral Home  45 North Main Street, Ipswich, relatives and friends are respectfully invited.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Martha’s name to:  the Holy Family Hospice Program  70 East Street, Methuen, MA  01844.   To send a letter of condolence to Martha’s family please go to:  MorrisFH.com .
