Nancy A. (Roberts) Courage, 86, wife of the late Raymond W. Courage, Jr., died unexpectedly Friday evening February 4, 2022 in the Beverly Hospital. Born in Gloucester on November 1, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Homer E. and Eunice L. (Morris) Roberts.
Mrs. Courage was employed at the Sea View Nursing Home in Rowley for several years as a certified nursing assistant. She was a caring and kind person. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond on February 26, 2001.
Mrs. Courage is survived by her 4 children and their spouses: Nancy A. and Peter Andrews of Ipswich, Carol A. and Harold Parsons of Gloucester, Cheri L. and Allan Whittier of Seabrook, NH, Darlene and Joe Perkins of North Carolina. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren: Donna, Harry, Krystal, Joseph, Dylan, Ricky, Brian, Stephanie and Jeremy, her 4 great-grandchildren: Ella, Jack, J.J. and Jaxson. Mrs. Courage is also survived by her sister Gladys Marr of Topsfield and by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Courage was also predeceased by: her son Stephen E. Havener formerly of Gloucester and her 2 brothers: Charles Roberts formerly of Ipswich and Norman Roberts formerly of Gloucester.
A funeral service will be held Saturday February 12th. at 11:00 A.M. in the Morris Funeral Home 45 North Main Street, Ipswich. An hour of visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited, to those who will attend anyone coming into the funeral home is to wear a face covering.
