Pickul, Sr.   Peter was a graduate of Ipswich High School where he excelled as a tri-star athlete in football, basketball, and baseball.  He was a two-time winner of the Hellenic Men’s Club Award.  He and his 1959 Tigers teammates went undefeated, and he was selected to play in the Agganis All-Star Classic.  Peters name was placed in the Ipswich High School Hall of Fame in 2013.  After high school Peter was employed by Yell-O-Glow Bananas of Ipswich, Tom’s Clam Company, and then by Burlington Airfreight at Boston's Logan Airport. He retired in September of 2001.

After high school Peter played baseball for the Ipswich Chiefs in the Inter- Town Baseball League and was placed in their Hall of Fame after a solid post high school baseball career. Peter and his wife Carol, resided in Salisbury Beach, MA until his retirement when they moved to Largo, Florida in October 2001.  There Peter enjoyed playing golf and together they enjoyed beaching and travel.
