Priscilla M. (Sweeney) Nadeau, 92, wife of the late Robert Nadeau, died Thursday morning November 6, 2025 in a local nursing home. Born in Ipswich on September 26, 1933 she was the daughter of the late John and Yvonne (Roy) Sweeney.
Priscilla lived more that half her life in Ipswich. She worked at Sylvania in Ipswich for a number of years before meeting Robert. Once they started their family she became a homemaker. Robert and Priscilla moved to Beverly to start his construction company, Nadeau’s Construction. They also co-owned a bar in Ipswich, Bannons. She was the bookkeeper for both companies while raising her children. They also enjoyed traveling all over the world, and especially spent numerous winters in their Florida home. Traveling the country in their motorhome was especially important to them. Upon selling the construction company they moved back to Ipswich for retirement which is where they lived out the rest of their lives. Robert predeceased Priscilla on July 21, 2018.
Priscilla is survived by her 2 daughters: Karen Comeau, Kimberly and her husband Kenneth Cotreau, 7 grandchildren: Katelyn, Zachary and Kristen, Lewis and Casey, Benjamin and Patric. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren: Jack and Noah, Gianna and Jasmine and Oleander and 1 sister Ann Barclay. Priscilla was also predeceased by her 2 sons: Robert Nadeau, Jr., Ronald Nadeau and her son-in-law Michael Comeau.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday November 15th. at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church 54 Linebrook Road, Ipswich. Burial will follow in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery 29 Town Farm Road, Ipswich. Visiting hours will be Friday November 14th. from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Morris Funeral Home 45 North Main Street, Ipswich, relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
