Raymond Roberts Obituary

Raymond Richard Roberts “Ray”, 62, died unexpectedly Monday  March 28, 2022.  Born in Gloucester on  December 19, 1959  he was the son of  Patricia Roberts and the late Norman E. Roberts, Sr.

Ray grew up in West Gloucester with his siblings:  Norman, Jr., Felicia and Randy,  He went through grade 10, then he ended up working with heavy equipment and construction.  He would always pick up any odd job along the way to get by.  Ray made friends everywhere he went, he seemed to know everyone.  He had a heart of gold and a little stubborn streak…”had to do things his way!”.  Ray also had a heart for those with special needs.  When he lost his oldest sibling Norman, Jr., he was inspired by his faith in our Lord who no doubt was right there as he entered heaven.

Ray, from a little boy on and throughout his life’s journey, found a sense of peace in nature.  He loved his family and friends and of course his cat Fluff!

Ray is survived by his mother  Patricia (Ferguson) (Roberts) Conrad, his 3 children:  Kandie Roberts, Lori Roberts and Raymond Roberts, Jr..  He is also survived by his half sister Leasa Roberts, and his 2 step-brothers:  Joe Greenwood and Tim Greenwood.

A private service will be held.  Burial will be in the family lot in New Highland Cemetery  29 Town Farm Road, Ipswich.  In lieu of flowers…if anyone would like to donate in Ray’s name to:  the American Heart Association of MA  300 5th. Avenue  #6  Waltham, MA  02451.  Assisting Ray’s family is the Morris Funeral Home of Ipswich.  To send a letter of condolence to the Roberts family please go to:  MorrisFH.com .
