Rosemary Parks passed away Monday morning August 10, 2020 peacefully at Masconomet HealthCare Center in Topsfield. She had been living at home until declining health moved her there in June. Rosemary was the 15th and youngest child of her family when she was born on March 17, 1938 in Bangor, Maine. She was the wife of the late Joseph W. Parks, Jr..
Rosemary leaves behind a loving son and daughter and son-in-law:Jeffrey Perkins, of Ipswich, and Valerie and Jeff Pleasant, of Grand Junction Colorado. Also, 5 grandchildren whom she adored and they adored her: Julia, Kimberly, and Phillip Perkins: and Cody and Luke Pleasant.
Rosie will also be missed dearly by her friends in Peabody, where she raised her family in the 1960s and 1970s. She served as a teacher aide at the John E. Burke Elementary School, a cheerleading coach, a hockey Mom, and, in general, an active member of anything for her family and community.
She met Joe Parks in 1980 and they were married at their home in Ipswich in 1994. Joe and Rosie had the time of their lives with their beautiful home, their traveling, and their dear friends at the Ipswich Bay Yacht Club and around the neighborhood and community of Ipswich. These people will also miss Rosie deeply.
A graveside service will be held Saturday August 15, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery 29 Town Farm Road, Ipswich. All are invited to attend: please remember that everyone is asked to wear a face mask, follow distancing guidelines and everyone is asked to refrain from touching the family due to the pandemic. Since her faith has always guided her, her loss will also be felt at Sisters of Notre Dame in Ipswich. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Sisters of Notre Dame in Ipswich.
