Sandra Patricia (Abbott) Duke

Sandra Patricia (Abbott) Duke, 86, beloved wife of the late William E. Duke, died Sunday afternoon  June 20, 2021  in the Residence at Riverbend in Ipswich.  Born and rsided in Ipswich she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Katherine (Otis) Abbott.  Sandra and her husband shared over 40 years of marriage.

          Sandra was a graduate of Ipswich High School and the Beverly School of Nursing for LPN.  She worked at the former Caldwell Nursing Home in Ipswich for many years.  She was predeceased by her husband William on  February 2, 2021.

          Sandra is survived by her daughter  Cathy Trepanier of No. Hampton, NH and her son Thomas Trepanier of Daytona Beach, FL.  She was also predeceased by her son David.  Sandra is also survived by her grandchildren:  Erik Merry, Tasha, Ashley and Cassidy Trepanier, and several great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her 2 brothers;  Charles S. Abbott of Virginia Beach, Va and Brian Abbott of Ipswich.

          A graveside service will be held for both Sandra and William on Thursday  July 1, 2021  at  11:00 A.M.  in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery  29 Town Farm Road, Ipswich, all are respectfully invited to attend.  For those in attendance who are not fully vaccinated facial coverings are encouraged.  William, a retired Major in the Marine Corps will also be accorded military honors.  There will be no visiting hours.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the American Lung Association of Massachusetts  1661 Worcester Road  Suite 301  Framingham, MA  01701.  Assisting the Sandra’s family is the Morris Funeral Home of Ipswich.  To send a letter of condolence to the family please go to:  MorrisFH.com .
