Stephen James Hamilton, formerly of Ipswich, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 23, 2024, at the age of 31.
Steve's infectious personality, kind spirit, and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone he met. A graduate of Ipswich High School and the University of New Hampshire, he loved growing up on Great Neck and spending as much time as possible at the beach or on the boat with friends and family. For those who knew him—even just a little—there are simply no words to describe how much he is and will be missed.
He is survived by his parents, Laura and Gary Hamilton, of Ipswich, MA; his sister, Elizabeth (Stefan) VanBuren, of Boston, MA; his loving, long-time partner, Olivia Loos and their dog, Logan of New Hampshire; his steadfast friend, Kenny Wing, of NH, several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many, many friends.
All are welcome to attend a memorial service on Thursday, October 3rd at 10:30 at Our Lady of Hope Parish, One Pineswamp Road, Ipswich, MA 01938, followed by a reception at 1640 Hart House, across the street from the church.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the Hamiltons encourage donations in Steve's memory to Learn to Cope, at 4 Court Street, Suite 110, Taunton, MA 02780. Assisting Stephen’s family is the Morris Funeral Home of Ipswich. To send a letter of condolence to the Hamilton family please go to: MorrisFH.com.
