Viviene Taft Argeropulos, wife of Peter Argeropulos, died unexpectedly Sunday evening September 4, 2022 in the Lahey Medical Center in Burlington after a sudden illness. Born in Providence, Rhode Island on August 15, 1949 she was the daughter of Dr. Harrie Taft and Florence (Votta) Taft.
Viviene was employed by the Massachusetts Department of Corrections for 19 years. She retired in 1997 from MCI Framingham having served as the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent.
In 2016 Viviene and her husband Peter returned to Ipswich. Viviene loved living in Ipswich often telling friends “She was the luckiest girl in the world to live in such a beautiful place”. She was an avid gardener and true animal lover who took special joy feeding her birds.
Viviene is survived by her husband Peter, her son Todd Taylor and his wife Kathy Taylor, her grandchildren: Nicole and Connor. She is also survived by her niece Laurel Isleib and husband Kevin, and numerous other family members. Also, Vivienne is survived by her sister-in-law Diana Dixon and her husband Glenn and many family members.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday September 13th. from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. in the Morris Funeral Home 45 North Main Street, Ipswich, relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial will be private.
