William A. Robinson, 83, husband of Ann M. (Taylor) Robinson, died Tuesday March 14, 2023 at the home of his daughter Kerri Perusse in Newton, NH who he lived with from 2005 to 2023. Born in Ipswich on March 13, 1940 he was the son of the late Dewey E. and Maude L. (Sheppard) Robinson.
Mr. Robinson was a resident of Ipswich for over 60 years. He bartended at the Amvets and the 498 Carrollton Club, both of Ipswich. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus here in Ipswich and was a member of the VFW also in Ipswich. Mr. Robinson worked as a machinist in a local machine shop in town.
Later he became a foreman at Long Street Construction Company that built banks in MA, NH and ME. He enjoyed being outside fishing, going to the beach, clamming the Ipswich River and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Robinson traveled often to visit his father in FL, he loved going there.
Mr. Robinson is survived by, in addition to his wife Ann M. Robinson of Newton, his daughter and son-in-law Kerri L. and Michael J. Perusse of Newton and their sons: Tyler and Michael, Jr. and his great-granddaughter Destiny, his son and daughter-in-law William A., Jr. and Melissa Robinson of Ipswich and his grandson Dylan, his daughter Kimberly Robinson of Ipswich and grandchildren: Ryan, Corey, Jessica and Dakota, his son and daughter-in-law Christopher and Jerilyn Robinson of NJ and grandson Christopher, his daughter and son-in-law Stephanie and David Lane of Ipswich and grandchildren: Shannon, Dave and Rob. Mr. Robinson is also survived by his sister Susan Aldarich of Meredith, NH, as well as many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Dewey Robinson formerly of Ipswich, his sister Lucille Robbins formerly of Tilton, NH and his brother Ronald Robinson also formerly of Ipswich.
A funeral service will be held Thursday March 23rd. at 10:00 A.M. in the Morris Funeral Home 45 North Main Street, Ipswich. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Wednesday March 22nd. from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
